국궁 활을 구매하면 현이 따라 오는데요.
처음에 심고부분이 꼬여있고, 현사 너풀거리고, 현이 좀 길어 보이기도 하면, 조금 난처한 경우가 있을 겁니다.

송무궁의 예를 들어서 현을 꼬아서, 길이를 맞추는 방법에 대해서 알아 보겠습니다.

1. 꼬인 심고를 풀어야, 활이 뒤틀려 현이 탈출하는 것을 방지할 수 있습니다.

You have to solve the twisted Simgo part to prevent the strings from escaping bow because the string is twisted.

2. 조금 길게 느껴지는 것은 현을 꼬아서 길이를 줄일 수 있습니다.
현을 꼬는 횟수는 브랜드별, 각 개인별로 다르기 때문에 본인이 적당히 꼬아 줍니다.

대략 5회에서 15회 미만으로 하면 될 듯 합니다.

3. 현고를 적당한 높이로 맞추면 됩니다. 본인이 쏘는 방법에 따라 현고를 조절해 주시면 됩니다.
너무 낮으면 현이 손목들 때리는 경우가 있고
너무 높으면 오히려 탄성이 약해서져서 멀리 가지 못하는 경우가 있습니다.

If it's too high, the elasticity is rather weak and arrow can't go far.

 

4. 새로 구매한 활의 줌통을 다듬지 않았기 때문에 다금기 위해서 줌통 안쪽을 깍아 내면, 손목과 현의 거리가 조금 더 멀어 집니다.

I didn't trim the Zum(handle) of the new bow, so if you cut the inside of the Zum to adjust, the distance between the wrist and the string will be a little longer.

5. 현을 꼬는 방향은 우궁은 시계 반대방향, 좌궁은 시계방향으로 돌리면 됩니다. (이때 심고가 꼬여 있었다면 풀리는 것이 정상입니다.)

6. 줌통도 다듬고 현을 적당히 꼬아서 현고를 맞추고 나면 현에 초칠을 해 줍니다. 초칠을 해 주는 이유는 여러가닥의 실을 하나로 뭉치게 만드는 목적입니다.

7. 현에 초칠을 할 때는 열을 나게 만들어서 현사 사이 사이에 초가 침투할 수 있도록 비비는 열을 이용해서 하나로 뭉치게 만들어 줍니다.
